About tirol

Tyrol (/tɪˈroʊl, taɪ-, ˈtaɪroʊl/; German: Tirol, pronounced [tiˈʀoːl] ) is a federal state (Bundesland) in western Austria. It comprises the Austrian part of the historical Princely County of Tyrol. It is a constituent part of the present-day Euroregion Tyrol–South Tyrol–Trentino (together with South Tyrol and Trentino in Italy). The capital of Tyrol is Innsbruck.

Scharnitz is a municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol located16.4 kilometres (10.2 mi) north of Innsbruck and 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) from Seefeld in Tirol on the German border. It is one of the largest municipalities and has 12 parts. The village was founded in the early Middle Ages and was once an important commercial route between Germany and Italy. The main source of income is tourism, both in summer and winter. Scharnitz is the western entry point to the Hinterau valley, where the source of river Isar is located.

About achensee

Lake Achen (German: Achensee) is a lake north of Jenbach in Tyrol, Austria. It is the largest lake within the federal state, and has a maximal depth of 133 metres. Together with the Achen Valley it parts the Karwendel mountain range in the west from the Brandenberg Alps in the east. Water quality is near drinking water, with sight up to 10 m below the surface. An alpine lake, water temperature is accordingly low, rarely above 20 °C. Its size and wind conditions make it suitable for windsurfing. Eben am Achensee, Achenkirch, and Pertisau are municipalities on the lake.
